IMMEDIATE OPENINGS

The Village of Durand Police Department is seeking applicants for Part-Time Police Officers.

We are a charming small town and perfect for the recently retired officer or those wanting a slower-paced law enforcement position.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Twenty-one years of age or older.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license.
• A certified law enforcement officer in the State of Illinois.
• Must hold a valid Firearms Owners Identification card. (Illinois residents)
• Must not have been convicted of a felony or certain misdemeanors, as defined by statute.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.
• Must participate in and complete all stages of the hiring process, which may include but are not limited to:
  • oral interview
  • extensive background investigation
  • post-offer physical/drug/psychological test
