Durand is fortunate to have organizations such as Durand Area Retailers, Trades, and Services (D.A.R.T.S.) and Durand Charm as part of the community. As a result it boasts several great events throughout the year for local residents and visitors to participate.

The Durand Lions Club is sponsoring the Queen of Hearts Progressive Raffle. Raffle tickets are $1 each, or 6 for $5 and is held at Ciminos Durand every Monday evening at 7pm, until the Queen of Hearts is revealed! Tickets are available anytime during the week at Cimino’s, so don’t miss your chance to be part of the action! The 4th of July Festival is held annually to coincide with our nation’s Independence Day. It is a multiple day festival organized by D.A.R.T.S. with events like outhouse races, antique tractor pull, small town fair, duck race, and fireworks at the school grounds. Also the festival has a patriotic concert to cap off the event and great BBQ Chicken from the American Legion and local restaurants.
