Durand is fortunate to have organizations such as Durand Area Retailers, Trades, and Services (D.A.R.T.S.) and Durand Charm as part of the community. As a result it boasts several great events throughout the year for local residents and visitors to participate.

The Annual Candy Cane Lane Craft Show is hosted by Durand Charm np, Sunday, November 23, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Admission is $2.00 per person and childrent 12 and under are FREE. Save the Date! The Jingle & Mingle Christmas Walk will be Friday, December 5th, 2025. Plan to stroll our downtown businesses, see Christmas lights on a hayride sponsored by Prairie State Investments, and visit Santa sponsored by Morgan Realty! For more information visit the D.A.R.T.S. The 4th of July Festival is held annually to coincide with our nation’s Independence Day. It is a multiple day festival organized by D.A.R.T.S. with events like outhouse races, antique tractor pull, small town fair, duck race, and fireworks at the school grounds. Also the festival has a patriotic concert to cap off the event and great BBQ Chicken from the American Legion and local restaurants.
