Hit & Run

The Durand Police Department conducted an investigation into a hit and run accident involving a 10 year old which occurred on Tuesday, December 21 at the intersection of Freemont and West South Street. All leads were followed up on and when no further information could be obtained as to the driver or owner of the vehicle, Durand Police provided video and photos to local media outlets and a post was placed on social media. As a result the driver and vehicle have been identified and located. The investigation is on-going and will be reviewed by the Winnebago County State’s Attorney’s Office.
