I wanted to personally make you aware of and invite you to a FREE document shredding event that will be held on Saturday, June 10 from 9:00 until noon in Durand. I will be partnering with Durand Mayor Sheila Hoffman for this event.
Document Shredding Event
Saturday, June 10
9:00 AM until noon (document shredding is available until the shred truck is full)
200 West South Street
I invite you to bring up to two banker-box-sized boxes or bags of documents to this event. Documents will be shredded on-site, and while you can just drive through and let event volunteers take your items, parking will be available for those who would like to watch their documents go into the shredder.
As you collect your items, please keep the following in mind:
- Stapled items and paper clips are OK, but larger binder clips cannot be accepted
- Paper file folders are OK, but plastic binders cannot be accepted
- Old plastic floppy disks cannot be accepted
- No electronics will be accepted for recycling or disposal
I think we all have old bank statements, receipts, and bill statements that need to be disposed of safely and in a manner that prevents documents from falling into the wrong hands. I hope you’ll participate in this free document shredding event.
