ANNOUNCEMENTS:
* The Village Board of Trustees will meet on Monday, December 9, 2024 ONLY. The December 23, 2024 meeting has been cancelled, to allow the board to enjoy the Christmas season with their families.
*Due to the Waste Management annual increase, per contract, the January garbage bill will reflect a $1.77 increase. Going from $16.10 to $17.87
* Rock River Energy Services (RRES) was recently made aware of a letter that was mailed to all CURRENT Dynegy (formerly Energy Harbor) electrical aggregation customers. The letters arrived in mailboxes earlier this week.
The letter is somewhat confusing but after speaking to Dynegy here is what is happening.
• Dynegy is going through an internal billing system change where their legal entity name to ComEd is going from Energy Harbor to Dynegy Energy Services LLC.
• This change with ComEd will happen before Dec 31, 2024.
• When Dynegy updates their name with ComEd, this is going to automatically trigger a ComEd switch letter to any customer currently being served by Dynegy.
• The ComEd switch letter will basically say you are changing from Energy Harbor to Dynegy – this is an automated letter and there is no way to NOT have ComEd send this out.
YOU CAN JUST DISREGARD THIS LETTER. NOTHING IS CHANGING THIS MONTH WITH YOUR ACCOUNT.
